Heracles Trainer is a training tracker, grapher, and timer all built into one. It uses a Heart Rate Strap to record your response to training and give you feedback on how well you’re adapting to training stimuli. You can then graph your results and see how you’re doing over time.

Note that Heracles Trainer can be used without a HR strap as an advanced timer and logger of workouts, without the collection of heart rate information.

• Uses HR training algorithms to calculate workload, response to training, and recovery level.
• Advanced timer allows you to control workouts and annotate them in the results.

• Set multiple Work and Rest intervals in a given timer.
• Work intervals can be:
• Fixed time
• Manual stop
• Rest intervals can be:
• Fixed time
• Manual stop
• Based on HR of previous Work interval: absolute drop, % drop, absolute HR level
• Based on previous Work interval time, ie. work/rest ratios
• Timer can be used without HR strap. Certain features based on HR are unavailable.
• Timers can be named with the exercise you perform. Timer names are shown in results to enable easier logging of workouts.
• Determine your HRmax with 2 built-in running tests, or calculate it via your age.
• Workouts are recorded in iCloud.
• Results are displayed in detail or graph form. Track results over time.

Based on our testing, the Polar H7 Heart Rate strap works best with this app. Other sensors may work but some features may be disabled, like a correct HRV calculation since the HR sensor may not be returning the correct values. We have not extensively tested this app with other sensors.

Known Issues:

Use with a bluetooth speaker may result in delays in the sounds and timer readout. We recommend using either the iPhone speaker, headphones, or use an audio cable to hard connect an external speaker to the iPhone via its headphone jack.
